The Living History
Exploring the depth of wearable art by diving into the depths of history and a little bit of mystery. The base idea of this collection derives from two sources – the historical fiction ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ by Kalki and the mysterious book ‘Vāimanika Shasthira’ recited by Sage Bharadwaja. Combining the mythical Vimanam (flying objects) and connecting it to the Vimanam (architectural object built over Sanctum Sanctorum of temples) with the base truth that in Tamil there is no same name for two different objects.
The collection combines the architectural history into the modern designs in fashion making it into a sculptural fashion. it adores the beauty of the details and its craftsmanship. This collection is a tribute to the history that stands to tell the Dravidian tale for over 1000 years.

The Inspiration
_
In 1002 AD, Raja Raja Chola, the King of Kings of the famous Chola empire decided that the world needed a wonder to marvel at. With the best artisans and architects the structure rose in the middle of Tanjore city, made completely out of granite stone.
It is 2017 AD and the structure still stands majestically tall, unshaken, acting as an inspiration for architects and designers and also as a place for spiritual wellness. It is a living history whispering the name of the Chola king to the entirety of the World.
